Artist Statement: McKenzie S. Paxton strives to capture beauty through a balance of impressionism and classicism in her oil paintings. Living in Utah, McKenzie draws inspiration from the local landscape, which has led to an appreciation of natural beauty anywhere she travels. In the winter months she paints ski resorts and skiers and in the warmer months her focus is on painting landscapes en plein air (painting onsite outdoors).
